Card Swap
On Saturday, January 24th Academy of Art sponsored a Valentine's Card Swap at the Youth for Parker's pool party. These kids not only partied in the pool at the Parker Rec Center but they also partied for art! Academy of Art has begun a Valentines Card Swap (Sharin' the Love of Art) for inner city youths and underprivileged children. This year our card swap is for inner city children at a battered women's shelter in Phoenix, Arizona. These children will receive a beautiful hand-made card and candy made by our very own Parker kids. A special thanks to Annika and Diersen who helped the Youth for Parker students! Thanks for supporting the arts and sharing the love with those who need it most!

Please join us on Aug. 28 at 4 p.m. for the ribbon-cutting ceremony celebrating the tunnel improvements and the artwork of Parker area students. The ceremony will be held at the east entrance to the tunnel in O'Brien Park.
Trash Can Art Project
Students from Chaparral High School NAHS (National Art Honor Society) designed art and painted 7 trash cans for the Town of Parker. The trash cans are used and visible at the Parker Rec Center, Parker Field House and the Mainstreet Center.
